Invitation Pilot v1.3.0

Know what you're citing.
Before you file.

QiXCite catches hallucinated citations, verifies source existence, and highlights treatment uncertainty before filing.

Scope notice: QiXCite is an independent framework by OrchIntel. The default path checks citation existence and source-linked evidence. It does not provide a licensed treatment verdict.

The Problem

Leading RAG systems can still fabricate citations—QiXCite adds governance.

Hallucinated Citations

AI systems generate plausible-sounding case law and statutes that don't exist, leading to legal risk and malpractice exposure.

Unresolved Source Status

A citation can exist while its later status remains unresolved. QiXCite makes unavailable treatment information explicit and keeps human review in the workflow.

No Auditable Trail

Without cryptographic evidence, there's no way to prove what was verified, when, or by which authority—critical for compliance.

What You'll See in Every Report

QiXCite surfaces risks that matter—not just features. Every scan tells you exactly what was prevented.

PASS

Citation verified for existence and available checks. Treatment source is shown per citation.

WARN

Citation needs review—questioned validity, weak semantic support, or flagged for human check.

FAIL

Citation not found or materially unsupported. Replace before relying on it.

BLOCK

A governed source or policy check reported a blocking condition. Review the source and resolve it before filing.

Every document scan tells you: "3 citations verified, 1 needs review, 1 must be replaced." Not buried in logs—front and center.

How It Works

Core capabilities that prevent citation hallucinations and enforce defensibility at filing time.

Existence Check

Verifies citations against admitted authoritative sources. IOA Cloud provides managed defaults, with the source basis and coverage limits shown in the result.

Source Status

Shows whether the source path found the citation, returned a clearly labelled first-party estimate, or could not provide a treatment status.

Claim-to-Citation Validation

Does the citation actually support the claim? Dual-signal semantic analysis at the proposition level—not just "does this case exist?" but "does it say what you're claiming?" Confidence scores explain each verdict.

Quote-Lock

SHA-256 cryptographic hash of quoted material ensures integrity and prevents AI paraphrasing or fabrication of critical legal text.

Evidence + Defensibility Certificate

Cryptographically evidence bundles with provider versions, thresholds, and verdicts, plus attorney sign-off export for filing defensibility. View Evidence Hub →

Coverage Matrix

Cloud sources: configured and admitted sources vary by jurisdiction. NZ and selected UK records are verified, Canada provides permissioned metadata-only case-law existence checks, AU case law is not claimed, and US checks require configured CourtListener access. Academic: DOI, PubMed, arXiv, and retraction checks where configured. Coverage limits are shown per result.

Continuous Monitoring

Register citations for ongoing surveillance. QiXCite re-checks source existence and metadata at configurable intervals and notifies you via webhook when a source result changes.

Executive Risk Summary

Every scan produces a narrative report: overall document risk score, top reasons for failure, and remediation actions. Share with non-technical stakeholders—no decoder ring required.

Authority Alignment BETA

Optional AI-assisted review of whether a cited authority supports the claim text. Use it as an additional review layer after existence verification. Includes free monthly checks on IOA Cloud plans. Learn more →

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need provider API keys to use QiXCite?

No for the default cloud experience. Configuration is only needed for advanced local setups or source paths that explicitly require it.

Do you store my documents?

Default: no. QiXCite persists only hashed quote-lock spans, normalized citations, and minimal diagnostics. Full document storage occurs only when evidence bundling is explicitly enabled with a configured Evidence Sink.

Can it run in shadow mode?

Yes. QiXCite can be configured from monitor-only review to stricter enforcement, depending on your risk policy and filing workflow.

Do I need to install anything on a server?

No. With IOA Cloud, QiXCite runs as a managed service. Install the Word Add-in (early access available while Office Store submission is pending) and start scanning immediately. For organizations that require on-premise deployment, a Docker-based local option is also available.

How does the Word Add-in work?

The add-in opens in the Word sidebar. Click "Scan This Document" to start immediately. You can run initial checks without setup, then sign in when you want saved usage history, evidence continuity, and higher limits.

Can I switch between cloud and local modes?

Yes. The add-in supports both. Cloud remains the default path; local server options are available in Advanced connection options.

How does continuous monitoring work?

Register citations via the /v1/monitor API. QiXCite re-checks source existence and metadata at configurable intervals and sends webhook notifications when a source result changes.
